NSW: Unidentified animals (non microchipped) are kept for seven (7) days if not claimed. Microchipped animals are kept for fourteen (14) days if not claimed.
VICTORIA: All animals (microchipped and non microchipped) are kept for eight (8) days (as per state legislation).

UNCLAIMED PETS: If you are interested in adopting any of the currently impounded animals please go IN PERSON to the Albury Wodonga pound and submit an expression of interest for the animal so you can be contacted if it is not claimed. It is also essential that you meet the animal that you are interested in.

FOR NSW ANIMALS
Unidentified animals (non microchipped) are kept for seven (7) days if not claimed. Microchipped animals are kept for 14 days if not claimed.

FOR VICTORIAN ANIMALS
All animals (microchipped and non microchipped) are kept for eight (8) days (as per state legislation).

At the end of this Mandatory holding period (NSW or VIC), the animal/s become the property of the contractors and can be legally sold or euthanized. Please note the contractors reserve the right as to whom the animals are sold to. The contractors decision is final. No holds over Facebook.

All impounded dogs and cats in NSW must be microchipped and lifetime registered before being released.

All impounded dogs and cats in Victoria must be microchipped and annually registered before being released.

All animals being sold over the age of six (6) months will be desexed, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and registered as per state legislation (Victorian) This will be also adopted for all NSW animals by September 1st 2016.

Dogs and cats found wandering in the Greater Hume Shire (NSW), Urana Shire (NSW), Indigo Shire (VIC) and Towong Shire (VIC) will also be taken to the Albury Wodonga Pound (02) 6025 9682
