After hours please contact 1300 133 391 (please note that rangers cannot attend after hours call-outs unless the dog is contained and normally will not pick up stray dogs between the hours of 7pm and 7am.).

Stray domestic animals can be taken to veterinary clinics to be scanned for microchips. Please note that it is illegal to hold an animal that is not yours on your property for longer than is absolutely necessary.
Animals in need of urgent help
Albury & Border Rescue Squad is part of the VRA Volunteer Rescue Association NSW, and are the Primary Rescue for the area, and all volunteers.
As part of their Primary Rescue role they are tasked to rescue ANIMALS. They will look after Cats in trees, Dogs in drains and everything in between.
If you need the Albury & Border Rescue Squad either call 000 and speak to the Police (not the Fire brigade) and ask for us to come out or you can call PAUL direct on 0418 589 304 or call the Squad rooms number on 02 6021 5243 there will be a message if it’s not answered directly.
